A performance appraisal is organized into three steps:
- Employee self-evaluation
- Manager evaluation
- Sharing of results
Step #1: Employee completes self-evaluation
When a manager (or someone from HR) initiates the performance appraisal process for one of their employees, Primalogik will send an email to notify the employee that the process has started.
The employee can click on the link included in that email to log in and go directly to the self-evaluation form.
Employees can submit their self-evaluation right away or they can save a draft copy and come back to it later to complete it and submit it to the manager. Employees can always see the list of pending tasks on the To Do page.
Step #2: Manager completes appraisal
As soon as an employee completes a self-evaluation, the corresponding manager will be notified by email. At that point, the manager will be able to complete his/her part of the appraisal by clicking on the link included in the email or by visiting the To Do page.
The manager can use the "Respond" button to complete the performance appraisal questionnaire for the employee.
Step #3: Manager shares appraisal with the employee
Once step 2 is completed, the complete results for the appraisal are available to the manager in the To Do list. The manager can click on "Results" to view them.
To share them with the employee, the manager can click on the "Share..." button on top of the appraisal results page.
The manager can change the share setting to "Shared" to allow the employee to see the appraisal results.
