Defining workflows (for performance appraisals & 360 surveys)

Primalogik allows you to define how your different assessments will be performed by allowing you to configure Assessment Workflows. You can define different workflows for different types of assessments. For example, you may want to conduct quick probationary reviews with very few steps but you may want to have a more robust process for year-end reviews. In that case you will want to create one workflow for probationary reviews that does not require any signatures. In the case of annual reviews, you will probably include signatures at the end of the process. Those are just two example, you can combine the different options available to configure the process that fits your needs.

Workflows for Performance Appraisals

All of those options can be defined directly on the Workflows page. When creating a new workflow for the appraisals module, you can define:

  • Workflow name: Use this field to give this workflow a name that will be easy to understand. This workflow name will appear in the list of options you can pick from when setting up a new review cycle.
  • Appraisal Workflow: defines who participates and in which order (self-review followed by manager review, self and manager reviews in parallel or no self-review at all).
  • Sharing: Can be required or not allowed.
  • Signatures: You can require signatures from the employe, the manager and a second level of signatures from an admin or a higher level manager.

When creating a review cycle for a performance appraisal, you can choose among the 3 pre-defined workflows or you can create a custom as shown above.

Workflows for 360 Feedback Surveys

You can also define workflows for your 360s. The process is very similar however, some options are slightly different.

All of those options can be defined directly on the Workflows page. When creating a new workflow for the appraisals module, you can define:

  • Workflow name: Use this field to give this workflow a name that will be easy to understand. This workflow name will appear in the list of options you can pick from when setting up a new review cycle.
  • Sharing: Can be allowed (optional) or not allowed.
  • Signatures: You can require signatures from the employe, the manager and a second level of signatures from an admin or a higher level manager.

When creating a review cycle for your 360 surveys, you can use the pre-defined workflow or you can create a custom one as shown above.
