Are you using the Goals module in Primalogik? We have a lot of exciting changes coming up for this module … including cascading goals (release planned for end of summer 2023)! And by end of June, we’ll be introducing an enhanced way of tracking goal progress that will make your life easier!
If you already have existing goals, don’t worry! You will not lose any information that you had previously entered.
What will change?
Currently in the system, goals can be tracked using either a quantifiable target or key results.
Moving forward, we’ll only be using key results to track goals, and quantifiable targets will become a part of key results.
For each new key result created, you’ll be able to select how you wish to track it, either using a quantifiable target or a milestone.
How will this change impact my existing goals?
All your goals will remain available. You will not lose any information that you had previously entered. We’re simply changing the way tracking is displayed.
For example, if you are using a quantifiable target to track your goal, this is what you currently see in the system:
Once we upgrade the app, you will still be able to see your quantifiable target. However, it will now be displayed as a key result with tracking ‘quantifiable target’ as shown below.
If you are using key results to track your goal, this is what you currently see in the system:
Once we upgrade the app, you will still be able to see all these key results, but they will now be tracked separately using a ‘milestone’ as shown below.
Why is this change taking place?
This change was done so our users can have more flexibility as to how they wish to track a goal. A same goal will now be able to include key results that are tracked using quantifiable targets and/or milestones.
Also coming up soon …
We are doing a lot of work to improve our goals module based on users’ feedback. And we’re excited to announce that we will be working on cascading goals next!
